A Fantastic Woman
In Santiago de Chile, transperson Marina works as a waitress but dreams of singing in a stage. She has a relationship with Orlando, a man twice her age. After the couple celebrates Marinas birthday, Orlando suddenly dies. Instead of mourning her lover, Marina must fight for her right to be herself, both against Orlando's family who does not want to accept her but also against the authorities. Roger Wilson at Kulturnytt in P1 believes that this is a "poetic and strong depiction of how oppression of transgender works in practice." The film has won an Oscar for best non-English language films and a Silver Bear at Berlin's Best Film Festival.
The film is not playable outside of Sweden
