Out in the dark is a captivating drama thriller about boundless, forbidden love. Student Nimer meets the lawyer Roy at a club and instant passion strikes. But soon the violent reality they live in makes itself known and they are forced into an impossible choice. Göteborgsposten's Maria Domellöf-Wik writes that "With the Israel-Palestine conflict as background, Out in the dark clearly portrays, with impressive performances by the two protagonists, the many dangers threatening an in love gay couple where one party is an Israeli Jew and the other a Palestinian Arab" and Aftonbladet's Emma Gray Munthe thinks it is "Finely tuned, well played and exciting".
