The Ghost Writer
Roman Polanski won the Silver Bear in Berlin 2010 for The Ghost Writer. The film is about a successful ghostwriter, called Ghost (Ewan McGregor), who is commissioned to write the former British Prime Minister, Adam Alongs memoir. Because the former ghostwriter died in an accident. During his work he discovers connections between Lang and CIA, making his situation very risky. Did his precursor really die in an accident? The film is based on Robert Harris's novel The Ghostwriter. Actors in the film are Ewan McGregor, Pierce Brosnan, Kim Cattrall, and Tom Wilkinson. Jan Söderqvist gives the film the highest rating in SvD because The Ghost Writer "is a delicious Kinder egg: several first-class films in one and the same attractive concept, also wrapped in many layers of irony".
