Förbjuden kärlek
Gustaf V was married to Victoria of Baden (1862-1930), but the marriage was not happy. Victoria is having trouble with her bronchus and spends long periods abroad, sometimes in Italy. Axel Munthe is her doctor, and Victoria often travels to Capri where Munthe is trying to help the poor on the island. The couple becomes in love and begins a secret love story that lasts for life. Ander Wahlgren has had access to unique archive material including films. Peter Andersson and Marie Richardsson read the letter exchange between Victoria and Axel Munthe. In Svenska Dagbladet, Dick Harrison calls the movie "a piece of visual poetry that can be seen more than once".
