Four Swedish families, a total of 19 people, celebrated Christmas in paradise, Khao Lak 2004. At 10:45 pm only three adults and two children were left alive. How was it possible to live on - when all that is worth living for is gone? In a moving documentary about deep friendship, love and the good of life, Folke Rydén depicts those who remained. Both Boel Andersson and Brita von Polar lost their family. After a year, they met Arne Bivrin who only had his daughter left after the disaster. Together they build a new life in Arnes house. They also meet Susanne Jansson, who lost her family and has now built a new life in Thailand where she is running an orphanage. The documentary has been shown on SVT.
