Parasite
Parasite is the first non-English-language film to win the Oscars heaviest prize: Best Motion Picture of the Year. It was also rewarded with the Gold Palm in Cannes, and the price for Best Motion Picture in Foreign Language at the Golden Globes. The Kim family is a colorful crowd that moves through life with ingenuity and cunning. But they have no money. So, when the son, Ki-Woo, is offered the job as a private tutor to the daughter of a rich family, he does not hesitate for a second. Once in place, he starts to make plans for the rest of his family who, one by one, get a job in the house. But the lies are increasing, and it is not long before the situation is completely out of control. The film receives the highest ratings from, among others, Dagens Nyheter, Aftonbladet, Göteborgs-Posten and Sydsvenskan. "Perhaps the strongest expression of now that I've seen on a cinema," writes Kerstin Gezelius in Dagens Nyheter.
