During the German siege of Paris in 1941, the situation for the Jews in the city was becoming more and more dangerous. Roman and Anna fear for their son’s lives and decides to send the brothers away to the southern parts of the country that still hasn’t been occupied. The boys begin a long and dangerous trip together through a France that is characterized by the horrors of World War II. With no one but each other, they will come to find both courage and love along the way. A Bag of Marbles is based on the autobiographical book with the same title by Joseph Joffo. The film has been seen by over a million visitors at the cinemas in France.
