#thursdaypremiere w. 42

Finally thursday, and new movies in Viddla!

In this week's premiere we will see a familiar face, we have several movies with Alfons Åberg to show you. Each film contains four stories where we can follow Alfons, his father and friends on everyday adventures.

We also have a couple of films based on two authors alter ego. In Factotum its Charles Bukowski's alter ego Henry Chinaski, a man who lives on the border, a writer willing to risk everything to make sure his life is poetry. In The rum diary its Hunter S Thompson's alter ego the journalist Paul Kemp. The inspiration for the autobiographical and alcoholic book, Thompson brought from his own experiences as a journalist in Puerto Rico in the 1960s.

The award-winning documentary Brimstone & Glory is set in Tultepec in Mexico. Every year they celebrate San Juan de Dios, the Guardian of the Fireworks, with a ten-day festival. To the festival, the city's inhabitants have built huge animals in papier-maché that explode in fireworks and colorful pyrotechnics.

This is just a few tips from this week’s Viddlapremiere, have a nice movie time!
