Thirty years after his death, one of the most conceptual post-war artists is still a visionary, and some people think that the German sculptor and performance artist Joseph Beuys is the most influential artist from his generation. Director Andres Veiel has collected a lot of material and created a close portrait of Joseph "The Man In The Hat" Beuys. With previously unused material, we get an insight into Beuys private life, but we also get to know his world of ideas and artistry. The documentary has won several prizes.
