The film Karsten og Petra på vinterferie is based on Tor Åge Bringsværd's books about the two best friends Karsten and Petra and their stuffed animals. Here, the two friends go on a skiing holiday and get to live in a cabin in the middle of the snow. There they meet Petter who turns out to be a skilled skier, much more skilled than Karsten. Karsten therefore fears that Petra likes Petter better than Karsten because of this. Then he gets the idea to compete in a ski jumping competition!
