The Von Trapp Family

Allowed 98 minutes 2015 6.4

The story of the musically gifted Maria who gave up her plans of becoming a nun to be a governess to the von Trapp-children is a well-known story through the musical Sound of music. The musical is loosely based on the books that the real Maria wrote about her upbringing in an Austria marked by the Second World War and the escape to America where the family became famous for their singing. In The von Trapp family we get to see the story told from the perspective of the eldest daughter, Agatha, when she in her old age retells the story to her younger relative.
