Åke och hans värld
Åke och hans värld is Allan Edwalls film adaptation from 1984 of Bertil Malmberg's classic novel. The 6-year-old doctor's son Åke lives with his loving family in a small Swedish town in the 1930s. When Åke's parents are not around he feels scared and insecure. Åke's best friend is Kalle, whose mother recently died and father is an alcoholic. Despite this, Kalle has the ability to share a joy of life that helps Åke overcome his fears.
