Kamal is a young rapper in Belgium who wants to help with the war in Syria and goes there to join an aid organization. In Syria, Kamal is kidnapped by Daesh and becomes part of their organization, eventually becoming a murderer himself. Rebel is described by Moviezine as an "explosive and gripping war drama" that "delivers both explosive war action, a strong family drama and unflinching musical scenes".
