The director Michael Mann has been awarded several Oscars for films like Heat, Insider and the Aviator. In his first film, Thief, he tells the tale of the criminal world of Chicago. During daytime, Frank is just like any law abiding citizen, but during night, he’s a successful jewel thief. When he finally decides to quit his criminal career, he’s persuaded by a high-level gangster boss to do one last job. The film was nominated for the Palme d’Or when it premiered at the Cannes Film Festival.
