The author and journalist Stieg Larsson achieved enormous international success with his Millennium books. In the documentary Stieg Larsson - The Man Who Played with Fire, we get to see other aspects of his life in addition to his writing. His mapping of right-wing extremism in Sweden during the 80s and 90s, the founding of the magazine Expo but also how he used his authorship for his ideas to reach a wider audience. The documentary shows interviews and archive materials, but also dramatized new recordings of events that marked Stieg Larsson's life. The film was nominated for Kristallen for Best Documentary 2019.
