What she said - The art of Pauline Kael

11 yrs 98 minutes 2018 6.8

Film critic Pauline Kael was an acclaimed and influential voice in The New Yorker from 1968 to 1991. Not everyone appreciated her texts and her career was marred by many controversies, but most agree that she was a significant figure in the film world during her 25 years as a writer. Filmmaker Rob Garver has spoken to more than 30 people from the film industry, colleagues, Kael's child and gone through her personal archive to paint a portrait of the person behind the words.
