In this documentary we get to know more about one of America's largest literary mysteries - the reclusive writer JD Salinger - through the eyes of 150 different people. Director Shane Salerno has interviewed colleagues, friends and people in his inner circle who have never previously talked about Salinger publicly. Salinger is best known for his book The Catcher in the Rye, published in 1951. A book that still sells around 250,000 copies each year. Shane Salerno has worked on the documentary for over ten years, and have gotten well-known names like Edward Norton, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Tom Wolfe and E. L. Doctorow to participate.
