The Eyes of Orson Welles

11 yrs 115 minutes 2018 6.8

The legendary filmmaker and actor Orson Welles has been portrayed in countless documentaries with different focal points. Here documentary filmmaker Mark Cousins takes a whole new approach when trying to describe Welle's visual language through a large number of sketches and drawings that he did during his many trips and leading up to new film projects. Cousins turns directly to Welles in his narration, creating an intimate portrait of the man who gave us classics such as Citizen Kane, The War of the Worlds and The Trial. The eyes of Orson Welles won a prize at Cannes Film Festival in 2018.
