Där mitt hjärta slår
In 1989, the 7-year-old Khazar Fatemi flew the war in Afghanistan and arrived at a refugee camp in northern Sweden. Twenty years later, she decides to return to her homeland to visit the neighborhoods she grew up in, to challenge her memories and meet the people who stayed. This capturing documentary opens the door to the civilian population in northern Afghanistan, their lives, their relationships, their reality. Where my heart beats have attracted great attention, and has been shown in both the Swedish Parliament and the UN General Assembly. It has also won numerous awards, including Best Documentary at the Raindance Film Festival in London.
