The brave and helpful firefighter Sam gets an offer to become fire chief in the city of Newtown, but before he has time to think about the offer, he gets dispatched. A fire has broken out in the forest while the local scout troop is on a camping trip and it threatens to reach the town of Pontypandy. While Pontypandy's residents are getting ready to evacuate the city, Sam must decide if he really wants to take on the new job in Newtown and leave his beloved home for good.
