Bugs

11 yrs 73 minutes 2016 6.8

In many countries around the world, insects are a natural part of food consumption and an important source of protein and minerals. Many sustainability researchers view insects as the food supply of the future, but in the Western world the phenomenon is still new and foreign. Danish documentary Bugs follows two chefs from Nordic Food Lab as they travel around the world to explore new taste sensations and different cooking methods. The purpose is to learn from the two billion people who have already found appetizing and sustainable ways to prepare different insects before the food industry has shaped our expectations and the production chains.
