Prison Sisters
The Emmy-Award-winning documentary No burqas behind bars followed a group of imprisoned women in Afghanistan, showing how life behind prison walls became a sanctuary from threats of violence and honor killings that awaited them outside. In the sequel, Prison sisters, we get to follow one of the main characters from the last movie, Sara, and her new life after she sought asylum in Sweden and started to build a new life for herself in freedom. However, she can’t forget about her friend Najibeh from their time together in prison, and the rumors that she was stoned to death after being released doesn’t seem to add up. Filmmaker Nima Sarvestani decides to return to Afghanistan to find out what really happened to Najibeh.
The film is not playable outside of Sweden
