Chili Palmer (John Travolta) is tired of his job as a loan shark, so he does not hesitate to pursue his dream of becoming a film producer in Hollywood when he goes to the deadbeat filmmaker Harry Zimm (Gene Hackman) to collect a gambling debt. Palmer makes new friends in Hollywood and lives the dream if it were not for the mafia boss and the drug-dealer’s breathing down his neck.
