Nice People

Allowed 100 minutes 2015 7.5

The eccentric entrepreneur Patrik Andersson launches a project in Borlänge to, according to the municipality, "create new platforms for communication between Swedes and immigrants". Helped by the bandy legend Per Fosshaug, the Somali minority in the city starts a bandy team with the goal of participating in the World Cup of Bandy in Siberia. The young players have never been on a pair of skates, so it is a big challenge. Filip Hammar and Fredrik Wikingsson have followed the inspiring and sometimes comical work with the group and the people around it. "At its surface trivial, but deep down - essential. More and more, I begin to feel that this is how we win the fight: With good actions that grow strong enough to phase out the bad", writes Maria Brander in Expressen and rates the film 4 out of 5. Mårten Blomkvist of DN give it the same rating and writes: "Nice people is an entertaining and very moving integration comedy that has a good chance to reach even hard to reach Swedish hearts."
