The iconic duo Hans Alfredsson and Tage Danielsson have with the idyllic archipelago farce Docking the Boat (1965) and the twisted anti-prison comedy Release the Prisoners to Spring (1975) established themselves as the most popular and unique Swedish comedians. The adventures of Picasso from 1978, recorded in Tomelilla pictured as various world metropolis, became their last joint film project. Gösta Ekman embodies the artist Pablo Picasso in this extremely surrealistic comedy, which, with lots of absurd despair and loving lies, tells the story of the famous painter's life from the cradle to the grave.
