Once again we meet Tove Jansson's classic characters again, voiced by Stellan Skarsgård, Bill Skarsgård, Stina Ekblad and Alicia Vikander. Even though winter is approaching in Moominvalley, the moomintroll doesn’t want to go into hibernation. Instead, he wants to stay awake and study the winter, and not least learn what Christmas really is about. The film is recorded with stop-motion technology, which according to Sydsvenskan's Annika Gustafsson means that "great care has been put on the background, small details, the different dolls and not least their clothes".
The film is not playable outside of Sweden
