Winter Boy

15 yrs 86 minutes 2015 7.1

In a gray and cold Toronto, a group of pregnant women fight to take control over their lives and to keep their newborns. They have everything stacked against them: homelessness, drug abuse and violent relationships. But there is hope. Through a unique project at the city’s public health care program, a group of nurses is working to support the women in every way. In Göteborgsposten, the documentary is rated 4 out of 5 by Tobias Holmgren. He thinks it’s “a moving film about outcasts and heroes, and outcast heroes, which should be mandatory to watch at every Social Work Program in the country”.
