The Balkan Wars are in full swing and in the village where Kosta lives it’s chaotic. But Kosta has his mission made out for him. He is going to deliver milk. Just as he has done every day since the war began, he rides on his donkey while the bullets fly to provide the soldiers with milk. Then one day, when the war is over, life becomes even more chaotic when love struck in the most inappropriate place. The mythical Oscars- and Palm d’Or winning director Emir Kusturica plays the lead role himself in this beautiful film about love, war and hope.
