Belle & Sébastien

7 yrs 95 minutes 2013 6.9

Belle & Sebastian is an adventure film that takes place high in the snowy French Alps during World War II. Sebastian is an orphan boy who becomes friends with a huge and wild mountain dog, despite the fact that the villagers think she is the beast who has killed their sheep. At the same time, the Germans arrive in the peaceful little village, and while life is getting more dangerous, Sebastian and the dog, whom he calls Belle, form a strong friendship. "Belle & Sebastian is an unusually well-played, beautiful and exciting family film that also gives an adult spectator full payout - without it being at the expense of the young viewer's needs." - Silja Sahlgren-Fodstad, YLE.
