Michael is a hard judge who rarely convicts anyone to less than 10 years of punishment. One day, everything changes when he meets Ditte who comes in for jury duty. Six years earlier, Michel met Ditte when he was in the hospital and she was the anesthesia doktor. Michael fell in love with Ditte there and then and she is perhaps the only woman he has ever fallen in love with. In Courted Christian Vincent directs Fabrice Luchini, multiple nominee for the "French Oscars" the Cesar Prize and Danish Sidse Babett Knudsen, famous for her roles in Borgen and The duke of Burgundy. Björn G Stenberg in Upsala Nya Tidning finds that the film "is a study in sure instinctive acting" and Rojin Pertow of Nöjesguiden adds that the atmosphere is "romantic and tingly."
