At the end of the 1960s, 11-year-old Mick loses his father and is sent from Sidney to the Australian countryside to live with his grandfather. The unfamiliar way of life is hard on him, but when he saves a puppy from drowning, he finds a loyal friend and life gets a little better. However, it soon turns out Mick’s grandfather wants to send Mick off to a boarding school, and he decides to run away with his new friend. Red Dog: True Blue is a stand-alone sequel to the hit movie Red Dog, one of the most profitable Australian films of all time.
