Farewell, Mr. Haffmann

In the French film Farewell, Mr. Haffmann (Adieu monsieur Haffmann), Daniel Auteuil plays the role of Joseph Haffmann, a jeweler who, because of his Jewish ancestry, is forced to hide when the Nazis occupy France during World War II. His successful jewelry business in Paris is now outwardly managed by his employee Mercier, an ambitious and frustrated man, while Mr. Haffmann lives hidden behind the premises of the business property. But will their dangerous agreement survive the trials to come?
