A River Runs Through It

11 yrs 123 minutes 1992 7.2

Montana in the early 1900s. The wind whispers enchantingly in the trees, the mountains are majestic against the skies and the untamed river still flows freely. It is so beautiful that God is holding his breath.

The grand landscapes frames the story of brothers Norman (Craig Sheffer) and Paul Maclean (Brad Pitt). Despite their differences, they love each other deeply. But over the years their roads diverge. Norman leaves the town to study, but Paul stays to enjoy a life of drinking, gambling and women. They only meet again briefly before disaster strikes. Happiness cannot last. Except in our minds.

"A masterpiece, that will be highly successful. Brad Pitt's charm can melt a glacier!". This is the true story of Norman MacLean's life, and it took him forty years to work up to the courage to write it down. The book was a bestseller and actor and director Robert Redford was granted permission to make it into a movie.

The film is not playable outside of Sweden
