Military wives

For a group of women on a military base in England, worrying about their spouses who are in active duty has become their norm. Among them are the strict and formal Kate (Kristin Scott Thomas) and the cheerful and easy-going Lisa (Sharon Horgan) who are both married to senior officers and are therefore expected to take responsibility for the social activities at the base. After some unsuccessful efforts, singing turns out to be what attracts the other women the most. The problem is that Kate and Lisa have completely different views on how a choir should be managed and sound. Despite their differences, they begin to discover that they have more in common than they thought and when the choir starts to sound good, they are unexpectantly invited to perform in the Royal Albert Hall. Now they must get everything to sound perfectly despite the emotional strain they are constantly living under while their loved ones risk their lives in Afghanistan.
