Fisherman's friends

Allowed 112 minutes 2019 7.0

When record label guy Danny (Daniel Mays) goes to a stag party in the picturesque coastal town of Port Isaac, he cannot imagine it will turn his life upside down. Suddenly, he is commissioned to fix a contract with a local singing group, consisting of ten highly repugnant fishermen. Now, Fisherman's friends traditional seaman's songs will be on the British top list! The villagers laugh at the idea, but soon the wheels are rolling. Along the way, Danny falls in love with charming Alwyn, the daughter of one of the barking singers. Fisherman's friends are inspired by the real story of the group that went from shows on the local pub to millionaires and sold out venues. "The songs and the movie are like a nice evening at the pub. Fulfills expectations like a well-made fish 'n' chip," says Jens Peterson in Aftonbladet.
