Imaginative, resourceful Ella Bella, who always has something fun going on, lives in the Soltoppen high-rise buildings with her father. Ella Bella and Henrik always play together, and when he tells her that he has never been to a circus, Ella Bella decides to start one with him and all their friends. But then the cool, big city kid Johnny moves into the house next door. He has the coolest bike in the world and Henrik is impressed. Ella Bella is afraid of losing her best friend and tries to get him to choose between her and Johnny. When Johnny realizes this, he runs away from home. To find him, Ella Bella must use her ingenuity and get all her friends, human and animal, to help!
