Gett: The Trial of Viviane Amsalem
An Israeli drama about Viviane Amsalems long battle to get a divorce from her husband Elisha in the Israeli rabbi court. Without the husband's consent, even a rabbi cannot decide. Although Elisha and Viviane have been separated for many years, Elisha refuses to give after. Both truthful and more dubious testimonies are given during the five years of the process, and Viviane is questioned and humiliated in a situation that is becoming absurd. One of the directors of the film, Ronit Elkabetz plays Viviane. As Viviane's husband, Elisha, we see Simon Akbarian.
