The African Queen
A film classic from 1951 with Humphrey Bogart and Katherine Hepburn. Hepburn plays the missionary Rose Sayer who runs away from the Germans in Belgian Congo during World War I. Bogart portrays the alcoholic skipper Charlie Allnut who lets the prude Rose to travel with him on his old steamboat, The African Queen. The couple is each other's opposites and starts arguing directly. But as they are forced to cooperate against dangers and enemies, the arguing evolves into love. Based on the novel with the same name by C. S. Forrester. Humphrey Bogart received an Oscar for the best male actor.
