During World War II, the Germans gathered prisoners of war who were prone to escaping in what they considered to be an escape-proof prison. In this spectacular adventure, we see the Allied prisoners planning a bold escape from the camp. With big name actors like Steve McQueen, James Garner, Charles Bronson and James Coburn, The great escape was one of the greatest action films of the time and was nominated for an Oscar for Best Film Editing.
