The Mauritanian tells the true story of Mohamedou Ould Slahi, who was held captive and tortured in the US prison camp at Guantanamo Bay for ten years without charge or trial. Having lost his faith, he sees hope in defense attorney Nancy Hollander and her colleague Teri Duncan, who face countless legal obstacles in their pursuit of justice.
