The way back
An American war drama from the director Peter Weir. Seven prisoners run away from a labor camp in Gulag in 1941. Their path to freedom extends from Siberia, across the glorious Gobi Desert and beyond the Himalayan mountains to India. During the 600-mile walk, they are must fight both the powers of nature, evil strangers and, not least, each other. The film is inspired by Slavomir Rawicz's book The Long Walk. In the roles, we see Colin Farrell and Ed Harris and Gustaf Skarsgård, who makes his Hollywood debut in this movie. Andreas Samuelson writes in Moviezine that "the film as a whole is an exciting and captivating story".
