The measure of a man
The family father and factory worker Thierry Taugourdeau (Vincent Lindon) has been fired from the factory he has been working in for many years. Initially, he is optimistic about finding a new job, but after almost two years he is about to give up. Then a job appears to be even more degrading than the role play of the employment agency's job search courses: security guard at a large supermarket where he is expected to watch both customers and colleagues. "The actors are very good, and Vincent Lindon captures the wordless pain of Thierry. This is not a movie to watch as a reality escape. The measure of a man is so much reality that it hurts " writes Jens Peterson in Aftonbladet. Vincent Lindon was awarded Best Actor at Cannes Film Festival, where the film also was nominated for the Golden Palm.
