The Architecture of Doom
This classic Swedish documentary gained great international attention when it was first released, and has been shown at cinemas, television and festivals all over the world. The award-winning filmmaker Peter Cohen examines Hitler’s extreme obsession with aesthetics. His fascination for the pure and classical in art turns out to have a strong connection of his extreme views of society and people in general. Benjamin Forgey at The Washington Post calls the movie “a brilliant two-hour documentation of the direct if paradoxical connection between ‘beauty’ and evil in Hitler’s Third Reich”.
