Once Were Brothers: Robbie Robertson and the Band
The music documentary Once Were Brothers: Robbie Robertson and the Band tells the story of how the young Canadian Robbie Robertson together with a group of musicians came to form The Band and with it create a completely new sound. By combining americana and folk music with rock, jazz and country, The Band found a style that placed them at the center of the American music scene during the 1960s and 1970s, where they collaborated with Bob Dylan, among others. The documentary features legends such as Bruce Springsteen, Eric Clapton, Van Morrison, and Martin Scorsese, who made the acclaimed documentary The Last Waltz about the band's last concert in San Francisco in 1976.
