On a dark night, police officer Daniel Carter finds a badly injured man in the middle of the road and takes him to the nearby hospital. When he arrives at the hospital, he quickly notices that there is something askew with the staff and the patients. Something inhumane is taking over their bodies, something that requires blood. Suddenly a terrifying and mysterious cult-like crowd appears threw the dark outside the hospital, and Daniel and his new friend from the road are forced to flee to the basement. Steve Kostanski and Jeremy Gillespie's characteristic style are well-known from films such as Suicide Squad, Crimson Peak and the new adaption of It, where they were responsible for the special effects. At Videosöndag, Fredrik Fyhr summarizes the film as a "successful and accurate decline on the underground madness".
