Florence Foster Jenkins
In this film, Stephen Frears depicts the true story of Florence Foster Jenkins, a rich and eccentric inheritress in New York, who dreams of becoming a major opera singer despite her total lack of musicality and singing skills. The husband, St Clair Bayfield (Hugh Grant), supports her aspirations and mutates both musicians and audiences for the wife to achieve the goals of her dreams. In Aftonbladet, Jens Peterson thinks Meryl Streep "gives a moving portrait of a complicated person. With very strong support by Hugh Grant, who plays the husband in one of his best roles". The rating is 4 Plus.
