The twins Ronnie and Reggie Kray were notorious gangsters who owned nightclubs and ran protection rackets in the 1960s swinging London. The brothers take charge of the city, but as their empire grows, their relationship is challenged by power struggles and madness. Reggie is the most business minded of the two, while Ronnie is more violent and erratic due to his schizophrenia. Jens Peterson at Aftonbladet praises Tom Hardy’s acting, which is “scary good and worth watching”.
