Grace of Monaco

Allowed 103 minutes 2014 5.7

It has been six years since the grandiose wedding between Grace Kelly and Prince Rainier III of Monaco, and Grace has fully embraced the role of princess and spouse. Nevertheless, she starts longing after returning to the movies. Alfred Hitchcock does everything to try and convince her back to Hollywood, but the Prince won’t allow it. At the same time, the Principality of Monaco gets in to conflict with the French president Charles De Gaulle. Susanne Sigroth-Lambe rates the film 3 out of 5 in Uppsala Nya Tidning and writes: “The movie is entertaining with its beautiful pictures, it can be seen as a luxury version of the TV series Mad Men, with power, intrigue and subdued women, trying to find their own path.”
