Fanny has recently moved to Lolland, and started high school in Nordsjælland. She tries eagerly to fit in, but the school is run by the the strict girls in her class. She teams up with the former queen of the group, Lilja, and together they counter the popularity culture and do exactly what they want to achieve the same benefits and be present where things happen. But counter actions have consequences, and what good is popularity without being able to trust anyone? Kontra is a raw and visual movie about friendship, beauty ideals and hierachys, directed by talented Jonas Risvig (Salsa, Drenge, Grænser).
