A wounded soldier is removed from the battlefield to be stationed for rehabilitation at a smaller fortress in the island of Kos. But the quiet and the isolation becomes a bigger enemy than he could ever imagine. Signs of Life is Werner Herzog's first feature film, winning the Best Director award at the Cannes Film Festival.
